Schedule

8:30-9 a.m. Registration and light breakfast

9 - 10:15 a.m. Session I Options

  • Anyone Can Podcast! With Cayla Kedik - Learn if you have a knack for podcasting. (Guess what...anyone can podcast!) Learn how to use specialized technology for recording a podcast and bring your questions for Cayla. We will even record part of an episode during this session!
  • Chromebook Hacks with Sally Eggleston - Tips and tricks for navigating through your Chromebook!

10:30 - 11:45 a.m. Session II Options

  • My iPhone Can Do What?!? With Cayla Kedik - Bring your iPhone and learn about some fun, lesser-known features you have right at your techie fingertips. This session is intended for iPhone users who want to discover some hidden tricks and kick their smartphone skills up a notch.
  • SBCSC E-Learning and Tech With one of SBCSC’s Digital Integration Specialist - This session for SBCSC parents will help prepare you for the transition to e-Learning days that students will be participating in this school year.

We are committed to strengthening our community by inspiring lifelong learning and career advancement.

We offer free classes for adults (graduates and non-graduates) who want to complete their High School Equivalency (HSE), be better prepared for college, or need to pass an exam to gain employment.

Our classes:

  • Prepare you to earn your High School Equivalency (HSE)
  • Strengthen the academic skills needed for various workforce tests/assessments and industry certifications
  • Focus on core subject areas: math, reading, writing, science and social studies
  • Integrate basic technology skills required by today's business and post-secondary education environments
  • Develop employment and post-secondary transition skills and career pathways
