Before & After School Programs

Bright Beginnings (morning programs) and Kaleidoscope (afternoon programs) are self-funded by registration fees and payments for care. SBCSC provides an in-kind contribution through the provision of school facilities and administrative support.

To enroll

  • Child must be a current SBCSC pre-k to grade 5 student.
  • There is limited capacity at each site; we will continue enrolling students until each site is filled. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis.
  • A $20 enrollment fee per family is required at time of enrollment in the form of a cashier's check or money order.
  • Child must attend the school for which they are registered.

Site coordinators

Each host school has an assigned site coordinator responsible for the overall day to day operations at each of the seven facilities. Site coordinators are the parent go to contact for their site questions and concerns. Site coordinators help plan curriculum and daily activities to engage students in small groups and enable intentional interactions with students and staff. School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a focus in building relationships with students. Site coordinators and staff attend additional trainings in out of school best practices and early childhood growth and development. Site coordinators and aides are certified CPR/First Aid/AED trained.

Aides

Our aides/staff assist in the morning and afternoon routines at each host school helping to ensure the safety and well being of students as we transition into and out of the school day. Sites use games, puzzles, and morning movement to help students prepare for their day. They ensure breakfast is offered and students are well prepared to start their day. In the afternoon, K-Club aides run small group stations, ensure a teamwork environment, and assist with the daily activities at each site.
