A Night for Families and Early Learners

The Brown Administration Building was filled with families, conversation and the kind of energy that comes with watching young learners take center stage. Pre-K Literacy Night brought families together around early learning in a way that felt welcoming, relaxed and genuinely joyful.

Pre-K students from eight South Bend Community School Corporation schools performed a short concert, proudly sharing what they’ve been learning while families watched, clapped and captured photos. A surprise visit from Bluey drew smiles and laughter, adding a lighthearted moment that many students — and parents — will remember.

At its heart, the evening reflected something simple but important: when families are invited into the learning process early, literacy becomes a shared experience that starts well before the classroom door.
