South Bend Schools to Host Annual Showcase of Schools on October 30
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Community School Corporation invites families and community members to the annual Showcase of Schools, on Wednesday, October 30, from 6-8 p.m. at the former Brown Community Learning Center, 737 W. Beale St., South Bend.
This event is a unique opportunity for families to learn about the amazing educational offerings available at South Bend Schools, from Pre-K through high school. Attendees will have the chance to meet teachers, principals, and administrators from across the district and explore the wide range of programs that prepare students for success in both academics and extracurricular activities.
Superintendent Dr. Todd Cummings emphasized the importance of the event, stating, "At South Bend Schools, we are committed to providing safe and secure environments where students thrive academically, athletically, and socially. With our highest graduation rates in 50 years, rising literacy scores, and nationally-recognized Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, we are proud of the future successes that await our students. The Showcase of Schools is an opportunity for families to see firsthand what we offer and how their student can succeed here."
The Showcase will highlight the district’s many achievements, including:
- Highest graduation rates in the last 50 years
- Soaring literacy scores
- Safe and secure schools
- Athletic opportunities for students from elementary to high school
- Nationally-recognized CTE programs, the best in north central Indiana
- Graduating students to top colleges and universities across the nation
In addition to learning about South Bend Schools' offerings, families will enjoy food and giveaways throughout the event. This family-friendly experience is free and open to all community members.
