School parking lot registration takes place of kindergarten roundup at all South Bend elementaries

Parents who are new to the South Bend Community School Corporation or have not yet enrolled their incoming kindergarten students online have one last chance to do so.

On Wednesday, August 5 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 6, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., all elementary schools in the district will offer drive through registration in school parking lots. Registration can be for full-time eLearning, in-person, or for the South Bend Virtual School. Parents who have already registered online for one of the learning opportunities do not need to register again.

Drivers will remain in their cars and are encouraged to wear masks and adhere to social distancing recommendations. Teachers and other school staff members will manage registration and will be provided necessary PPE to ensure their health and safety while assisting families.

In order to register students, parents and guardians are required to bring the following:

  • Immunization records
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of address
