What is the purpose of the one-hour delayed start? The monthly one-hour delayed start will provide an opportunity for principals and teachers to meet for professional development.

How will buses be impacted? Bus pick-up times will be one hour later than the usual schedule. For example, if the bus pick-up time is 6:45 a.m., the delayed start bus pick-up time will be 7:45 a.m.

 

 

What dates are the one-hour delayed starts?

  • Wednesday, October 2
  • Wednesday, November 6
  • Wednesday, December 4
  • Wednesday, January 8
  • Wednesday, March 4
  • Wednesday, May 6

What time will classes start for students on a one-hour delayed start day?

High Schools: 10 a.m.
Middle Schools: 10 a.m.
Clay International Academy: 10 a.m.
Elementary Schools: 9 a.m.

Will breakfast be available on the one-hour delay start days? Yes

Will the district still have two-hour weather delays? Yes. If needed, announcements will be made through all of our communication channels if there is a two-hour weather delay.

The following 12- month administrators and non-certified staff should report to work at the regularly scheduled start time. Those employees include:
